Week 13-14 - Cardboard Construction - November 2018

Cardboard construction. I made a frame for one of my recent linoleum cut relief prints. I used an X-acto knife to cut out the general shape of the frame in the cardboard and then also used it to score the top layers of the cardboard and peel away that layer to make designs out of the folds underneath. This was a super fun project and I am now considering using handmade cardboard (up-cycled) frames for my thesis show this spring! I used three layers of cardboard on top of each other to create some depth to this, and I would really love to try this again and make a much larger, more elaborate frame for my work! I finished off the frame with a light coat of gold spray paint.
